NFM Systems wins Gold at the HPC Excellence Awards
At the 2019 HPC Excellence Awards, NFM Systems, part of the REEL Group, received the Gold Award in the Best International Supplier category. This distinction recognizes its contribution to the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear project.
A major recognition for an expert supplier
Each year, EDF Energy’s Nuclear New Build (NNB) hosts the HPC Excellence Awards. The event highlights outstanding contributions in four categories:
- Construction
- People
- Technical and Engineering
- Supply Chain.
NFM Systems was selected as one of three finalists for the “Supply Chain – Best International Supplier” award. The company was recognized for designing and manufacturing personnel airlocks and material access hatches used in the reactor building at HPC.
A prestigious ceremony, a proud achievement
The award ceremony took place on 27 November 2019, at the Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton, UK. Simone Rossi, CEO of EDF Energy, attended the event.
That evening, NFM Systems received the Gold Award. This win highlights the team’s excellence in quality, safety, and international collaboration.
A long-standing contributor to Hinkley Point C
NFM Systems joined the HPC project early in its manufacturing phase. In 2020, the company delivered one of the first safety-critical components for the reactor building.
Thanks to its proactive mindset and collaborative work approach, NFM Systems helped shape NNB’s expectations for the delivery of other equipment.
