Pipelay Systems – Flexible, Rigid, Portable, Vertical-Lay
IMECA offers a complete range of pipelay systems for flexible, rigid and umbilical products. Our portfolio includes portable and vertical-lay systems, with capacities from 100 Te to 600 Te.
Each system integrates tower structures, tensioners, recovery modules and power units, ensuring smooth and secure offshore deployment.

The Pile Gripper
The IMECA Pile Gripper is an innovative technology designed for the installation of offshore wind turbine foundations. Engineered to position and stabilise monopiles of exceptional dimensions—up to 130 meters in length, 13 meters in diameter and 3,500 tonnes in weight—this system delivers outstanding precision with verticality control within 0.2°, even under challenging sea conditions with waves reaching 7.5 meters.
Thanks to its automated and redundant control system, the Pile Gripper compensates for vessel motions to ensure monopile stability while significantly reducing installation time. Built with cutting‑edge engineering and performance comparable to advanced robotics, this solution revolutionises offshore wind turbine installation by combining efficiency, accuracy and reliability in complex marine environments.
Winches – Standard and Special up to 650 Te
IMECA provides standard and custom winches for offshore operations, including tugger, initiation, abandon & recovery, and riser pull-in models.
Our winches are engineered for high load capacity, precise control and long-term durability, with options ranging from 2.5 Te to 650 Te.
Tensioners – Horizontal and Vertical, Multipurpose
IMECA tensioners are designed for flexible, umbilical, rigid and wire rope applications. Available in 2, 3, 4 or 6-track configurations, they offer pulling capacities from 10 to 400 Te.
Our tensioners feature full openability, long squeezing retention without power, and precise pressure control across all tracks.
Offshore Cranes – Fully Electric, High Performance
IMECA’s fully electric offshore cranes combine environmental responsibility with operational efficiency. Designed for low lifecycle cost and fail-safe performance, they operate reliably even in low-temperature conditions.
Harbor and floating crane models are available, with lifting capacities from 10 to 150 Te.
Handling Systems – Clamps, Reel Drives, PLet Systems
IMECA develops advanced handling systems for offshore deployment, including friction clamps up to 650 Te, reel drive systems, and PLet handling modules.
These solutions ensure safe, precise and efficient movement of heavy loads across vessel decks and firing lines.
