“I have ambitious goals. I’m back to compete for the win— that’s what drives me,” says Alexis.
Since 2023, Alexis has been sailing on the same Figaro Bénéteau 3, a boat he knows inside and out. He trains at the Pôle Finistère Course au Large in Port-la-Forêt, alongside seasoned sailors like Loïs Berrehar and Corentin Horeau, and under the guidance of experts such as Jeanne Grégoire, Erwan Tabarly, and Yann Eliès.[2]

Alexis Loison leaves nothing to chance. For the 2025 edition, he has focused particularly on:

Alexis Loison’s 2025 campaign is structured around four major regattas:
- Solo Guy Cotten (March) : A warm-up race in Concarneau with three stages, one of which spans 24 hours.
- Tour de Bretagne à la Voile (June) : Competed in duo with Corentin Horeau, the duo claimed a well-executed victory, boosting their confidence.
- Figar’mor (August) : A final solo rehearsal race in Lorient under conditions similar to those of the Solitaire.
- Solitaire du Figaro Paprec (September) : The ultimate goal, featuring three demanding stages and a finish in Normandy.
Each race represents an opportunity to progress, assess his performance, and reinforce ties with partners.
Aiming for the Podium with Focus and Shared Passion
With 18 previous participations, Alexis Loison knows exactly where to focus his efforts. He embarks on this 19th edition with renewed energy, a clear strategy, and an unwavering desire to succeed.

The three course stages are particularly challenging:
- Stage 1: Rouen – Bay of Morlaix via the Fastnet,
- Stage 2: Roscoff – Vigo via Cape Finisterre,
- Stage 3: Vigo – Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue, with a finish in Normandy, the skipper’s homeland, around September 27, 2025.[4]

On Friday, September 26, 2025, Norman skipper Alexis Loison won the iconic Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. This marked the fulfillment of a childhood dream for the REEL Group skipper, who participated for the 19th time.
Alexis shared his initial thoughts:
“This Solitaire, I don’t know why, but it felt harder! Every year, I had this little voice saying, ‘Keep going, push on, you’ll get there.’ But it’s not easy to keep trying. So finally making it, and doing it in style with 1st, 2nd, and 1st place finishes, is incredible! I can’t believe it—I’m still coming back down from it.”
