REEL Norway Receives TMS Award for Innovation in Aluminum Production

REEL Norway has achieved an important milestone. The team was honored with The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) “Light Metals Subject” Award for their Electrode Technology, specially designed for aluminum production processes.

This award recognizes REEL Norway’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the field of materials science. The winning paper, titled “Advanced Heat Exchanger Full Scale Experiences at TRIMET Aluminium SE,” was submitted during the TMS Annual Meeting last year and subsequently published in Light Metals 2023. The paper’s depth of research and practical implications have garnered widespread acclaim within the industry.

At the heart of this achievement are Sørhuus Anders and Håvard Olsen, whose dedication and expertise have propelled REEL Norway to the forefront of technological innovation in aluminum production.
