We are happy to announce that Philippe Frantz, President of REEL, was elected on May 16th as president of Nuclear Valley.
His knowledge of the nuclear industry and his will to put himself at the service of this sector and of the region justified his election.
Only pole of competitiveness dedicated to the civil nuclear energy in France, Nuclear Valley encourage the economic development and the competitiveness of the French nuclear sector, by supporting the elaboration of innovative collaborative projects of R&D, by mobilizing the set of the resources (industrial, institutional, academic and scientific) present in the regions Burgundy Franche-Comté and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
This support involves connecting the major donors of Orders and SMEs/ETI, organizing and facilitating meetings, colloquia and fairs, and through the labelling of training courses to develop the attractiveness of the nuclear industry and to develop employment.
Nuclear Valley is an important player for the nuclear industry in France, the latter having signed in January 2019 a strategic contract of the nuclear industry, for the first time in its history.
Within the nuclear industry, Orano, CEA, Andra, Framatome, EDF and all SMEs/ETI, say they have everything to gain from working together.
This strategic contract of the nuclear industry signed between the State and the main players of the French nuclear industry had therefore the objective of defining an ambitious and coherent action plan for the sustainability of the 3rd industry in France.
More broadly, this contract also guarantees the sector the long-term visibility it needs to preserve its national know-how, maintain skills in the sector, and leave, in the best possible conditions, to the conquest of new markets.
